I tried to put in my own car stereo, Crutchfield made it seem easy!
I bought $400 worth of stuff from them, and tried to install it myself.
It was only after one of the $110 dollar tweeters blew, and the stereo started to sound like a kazoo, that I realized, " I don't know crap about car stereo."
So, after riding around for a couple days with only the right side speakers playing, because the left tweeter was blown and unlistenable, I stopped into Long Radio.
I moved up to western MA about 10 years ago.
I had always heard that Long Radio was the place to go.
I stopped at the West Springfield store, which is across the street from where I work.
I spoke with Aaron, and after about five minutes, I realized this young man knows!
He showed me what he would do, and in 20 min, I had all the parts picked, and had scheduled an appointment for install.
The total price wasn't cheap, or inexpensive.
Good news...totally worth every penny!
Aaron, and the guys in service, are so professional and good at what they do, that spending $2,600, over 6 times what I paid for the Crutchfield stuff, seems like a great deal, given what my stereo sounds like now, and that I have hands free voice, pandora, xm and bluetooth, where before I had am/fm/cd.
Spending the money on the stereo has made me realize I never needed a new car, just a stereo!
I am very grateful that I chose Aaron and Long Radio to do my car stereo.
We all need "guys" to help us. You know, " I got a guy who..."
I have found the guys who do car stereo right!
I plan on having some other stuff done, but right now, I am just really enjoying listening to a finely tuned car stereo system!
Best to you all at Long!
